Early Listen: Rachel Baiman's "Shame" Out June 2

Nashville, unearthing one bad bitch after another. 

 

Rachel Baiman is a 27-year-old Nashville Americana musician, and her new record Shame is due out on June 2nd, via Free Dirt Records. The record is heavy and political, but all the themes of abortion and abuse, classism and inequality, are shot through an old soul that keeps her folky sound rooted in beauty. In fact, the whole album is an exploration of growing up female in America with some real fuck you behind it.
