Young Person Enjoys Awards Show

Last night the 2018 MTV Music Video Awards were held in New York City, recognizing the year's best YouTube posts that teens watched on their phones while Fortnite was loading. Cardi B edged past Lil Pump and Lil Uzi Vert to bring home the Taco Bell Best New Artist statuette, Childish Gambino's "This is America" clinched Best Video With a Message, and Imagine Dragons were proven to be Best Rock. MTV's Video of the Year award went to "Havana" by Camila Cabello featuring Young Thug, a massive upset considering it was running against that video Beyoncé and Jay-Z filmed at the Louvre.
The true star of the evening, however, was the young person stage left who was captured staring reverently at Nicki Minaj, appearing to have the moment of any young person's life. Namaste to that. Even if the feeling lasted but a nanosecond, it was beautiful. Everyone should have elements in their lives that illicit such joy.
