Alice in Chains Honor Burt Reynolds

September 11, 2018 | by James Greene, Jr.

Beloved Smokey And The Bandit actor Burt Reynolds passed away last Thursday at the age of 82, leaving a nation in grief and mourning. Two days later, at their concert stop in Irving, Texas, grunge icons Alice in Chains paid tribute to Reynolds with a loving parody of their 1992 Dirt album cover. AiC has shared this image on Instagram so that we may all enjoy its fun and whimsy.

Meanwhile, Pearl Jam's social media channels remain eerily silent regarding the passing of America's favorite mustachioed Tallahasseean, though that doesn't mean they haven't been affected. Maybe they're planning a tribute record, like Do The Reynoldslution.
