Bette Midler, Tim Meadows, Pat Kiernan Among Narrators For Beastie Boys Audiobook

On October 30th, surviving Beastie Boys Michael Diamond and Adam Horovitz will release their 600 page memoir Beastie Boys Book, which will chart the entire history of the beloved hip hop act who (among other things) fought for our right to party and informed us of previously unreported sabotage. The audiobook boasts an impressive and diverse cast of narrators, including Bette Midler, Amy Poehler, Exene Cervenka, Elvis Costelle, Maya Rudolph, Tim Meadows, Chuck D, Rosie Perez, Pat Kiernan, LL Cool J, Kim Gordon, and Rachel Maddow. Diamond and Horovitz have scheduled a short tour for Beastie Boys Book, including two readings in New York (October 29th at Town Hall, October 30th at Kings Theatre), two in Los Angeles (November 3rd & 4th at Montalban), one in San Francisco (November 5th at Nourse Theater), and one in London (November 30th at EartH). These readings will include a live score by Mix Master Mike, a Beastie Boys museum exhibit, and a "sound experience" by Sonos. Funky, boss!
